The Client Mentoring Program allows Phase III clients to mentor newly arriving young men struggling with mental health or addiction. When new clients meet their Phase III mentors, they glimpse their own future. Coming to know people who have faced similar challenges and come through this same mental health treatment program to lead happier, healthier, more joyful lives makes this goal seem all the more attainable. For the Phase III volunteer, mentoring new clients shows them just how far they’ve come. But by helping others, volunteers also come to recognize the tremendous value and experience that they have to offer the world. For this reason, volunteering often becomes one of the most rewarding and cathartic Turnbridge experiences.
