Effective treatment solidifies the linkage between mental and physical well-being. Turnbridge clients benefit from an extensive and diverse range of recreation, fitness, and cultural immersion activities that support good health, self-confidence, teamwork, and camaraderie.
The therapeutic and holistic benefits of recreation and fitness are so important to overall health and recovery that Turnbridge created Recovery In Motion programming — specialized experiential therapies that put evidence-based psychotherapy, mindfulness, and exercise-science theory into real-world practice. Hikes, rock climbing, kickboxing, snowshoeing, art, and drum circles are combined with exercise goals, meditation, group discussion, and education to deliver insights, exhilaration, and inspiration that acknowledge the connection between mind, body, and spirit and prepare clients for a lifetime of physical and emotional wellness.
Each Turnbridge Adolescent Residential Program offers unique recreational and experiential opportunities. In addition to playing fields, hiking trails, and game rooms, the Adolescent Boy’s Residential Program features a full-scale rope course that provides a unique mental and physical challenge. The Adolescent Girl’s Residential Program is home to a world-class equestrian center, stables, and over one hundred acres of pastures, paddocks, and trails that give clients access to equestrian activities year-round.
